The Happiness Advantage
2-day leadership masterclass on how employee happiness drives customer experience excellence, and how leaders deliberately build it.
Employee happiness as a customer experience lever
The Happiness Advantage (CXHA) is a two-day ICXI leadership masterclass that establishes employee happiness as the strongest, most underused lever for customer experience excellence. Happy employees deliver superior service, emotional intelligence cascades through teams, service recovery becomes a competitive advantage, and culture becomes brand differentiation. Across ten sessions, the programme moves from the science of the link between employee and customer experience on Day 1 into the leadership disciplines that design, deliver and embed happiness on Day 2, closing with a 90-day Happiness Action Plan for your own organisation.

Frequently asked questions
Who is The Happiness Advantage for?
Leaders who set culture for a team: CEOs, COOs, CHROs and CCOs, CX leaders who need to influence HR and operations, HR directors and Heads of People or Employee Experience, operations and contact-centre directors, and senior consultants advising clients on culture, EX and CX.
How long is the course and how is it delivered?
Two days, 09:00 to 16:45 each day, delivered in-person, virtually or as a hybrid, typically for 8 to 20 leaders. Leadership or supervisory experience in a CX, HR or operational role with people accountability is expected.
How is the course assessed?
There is no exam. Assessment is a composite calibrated to leadership outcomes: active participation (40 per cent), a written Day 1 reflection (20 per cent) and your 90-day Happiness Action Plan (40 per cent), reviewed by the facilitator.
What will I be able to do afterwards?
Make the case for the link between employee and customer experience at executive level, measure both ends of it, design culture and moments that matter deliberately, develop managers who inspire happiness, and lead a 90-day plan with named owners.
What makes The Happiness Advantage different?
It treats employee experience and customer experience as the same conversation. Every session is anchored in established research and translated into actions leaders can take in their first 90 days back in the business, using the Value Moments concept developed at ICXI.
How does it fit ICXI's other courses?
It sits alongside ICXI’s employee-experience programmes, including Employee Experience for CX Leaders, Wellbeing & Resilience Leadership and the Value Moments Practitioner course. Senior leaders can add the one-day CX Executive Masterclass for the wider strategic view of customer experience.
